November Regular Board Meeting Highlights

(November 16, 2022) The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) held its regular board meeting on November 15 at the division central office. Here are the highlights of the meeting.

The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division’s Board of Trustees voted to allow the central office to close for the Christmas break. The office will be closed from Dec. 24 and will reopen on January 3, 2023.

The Board reviewed the list of Christmas concert dates for the various schools.

Board Members shared their experiences with Catholic Education Sunday, which took place on Nov 6, 2022.

The Board approved January, 18, 2023 for the date of the Annual School Chairs Meeting.

The Board talked about the National Toonies for Tuition campaign to raise money for families who want their children to gain a Catholic education in provinces that do not have publicly funded Catholic Education. Click here to learn more about “Toonies for Tuition”.

There will be a student engagement meeting at the Central Office Auditorium on December 6, 2022 at 11:30 AM.

The Trustees prepared for their upcoming Alberta School Trustees (ACSTA) Fall General meeting being held in Edmonton, November 18-20 and the Alberta School Boards Association (ASBA) meeting also in Edmonton November 21 and 22, 2022.

The Board was informed about the education policy of one of the provincial political parties. The Board will be keeping an eye out for any materials that provide insight on the education policies of other parties that will be campaigning for provincial government in May, 2023.
