Providence Grade 5/6 Says Do Not Be Afraid! – Week 3 of the ADVENTure Contest!

  Posted: December 12, 2017

The third entry in the ADVENTure Contest is from the grade 5/6 at Ecole Providence School.  The third week of Advent begins on Sunday December 17th, and the theme is Do Not Be Afraid!  Providence and HFCRD invite you to reflect on this theme:  are you trusting that God is guiding you throughout your life?  Our lives are blessed by God’s presence every single day, and for the first week of Advent, we invite you to be present and to be grateful for all the ways God blesses you. “Do not be afraid” is a common refrain used throughout biblical stories and one that we need to hear over and over again. In our world today, and in a world that we fear and imagine is possible in the future, we need to be reminded not to be afraid.

  • What does Do Not Be Afraid mean to Ecole Providence School students?  Here’s what one student said:
  • “Don’t be afraid because God is always with us!”
