École Providence School Temporarily Under Lock Down Today; All Students are Safe

At approximately 11:00am today, École Providence School was locked down, as the McLennan RCMP alerted the school that there was a potential threat in the community.
At approximately 12:00pm today, the McLennan RCMP alerted the school that the potential threat had been apprehended and was in police custody. The lock down of the school was immediately lifted.
“We want to assure parents that student safety was a priority, as it is every day in our school,” said Principal James Eidem. “All students are safe and school has resumed as usual.”
HFCRD and École Providence School would also like to express thanks to the McLennan RCMP for their prompt response to this potential threat.
