Glenmary School located in Peace River, Alberta requires a Full-time Probationary Math & Science Teacher starting September 11, 2023 (or when mutually agreed) to June 27, 2024 teaching in grades 7-12 . Upon successful evaluation, candidate may receive continuous contract.
The position requires the successful candidate to teach Secondary Math, Sciences ,CTS and potentially religion, health and other courses in the candidate’s skills set.
The ideal candidate will possess training, knowledge, and experience in Math and Science and have an understanding of assessment for learning. The successful candidate will be required to support students who have individualized program plans, enrichment, modifications, and/or accommodations to their learning.
The successful candidate must be eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta. Knowledge and understanding of Inclusive Education, Indigenous Education, and educational technology proficiency would be considered assets.
The successful candidate must be willing to live in a rural community environment and be a team player, willing to collaborate, communicate and work together with fellow colleagues. Catholic and non-catholic applicants are welcome to apply.
