Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurie Goyetche as Acting Principal of Rosary School in Manning. Laurie has been successful in her role as Vice Principal of Rosary School since September 2013, and is the natural choice for the Principal position after the sudden death of former Principal Patrick Stokes this summer.

“Thank you to Laurie for stepping into this leadership role under these difficult circumstances.  Pat would be pleased to know his school is being passed on to your capable hands,” said Superintendent Betty Turpin.  “During her time at Rosary School, Laurie has proven herself to be a strong, knowledgeable leader and we look forward to working with her in this new capacity.”

Laurie is originally from Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia but has been living and working in Alberta for the past twelve years.  She completed her Bachelor of Education degree at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and her Master of Educational Studies Program at the University of Alberta.  Laurie’s husband is a journeyman mechanic and they have two children in Alberta, and one in Nova Scotia.  Laurie and her family enjoy living in Manning and are honoured to have been welcomed into the Rosary School family.
