Congratulations Julie Gummesen, Assistant Principal Rosary School

(June 10, 2022) Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) congratulates Julie Gummesen who will be moving into the role of Assistant Principal of Rosary School in Manning beginning August 2022.

Julie began teaching at Rosary School in 2005. She completed her Masters of Education in Curriculum & Pedagogy in 2014 from the University of Alberta.  In 2017, Julie was HFCRD’s recipient of the CCSSA Excellence in Catholic Education Award. She is passionate about teaching Social Studies and mindfulness and has been a strong leader of Rosary’s Students’ Union since 2014.

“Julie is a dedicated educator and approaches all challenges with a very positive attitude,” says Betty Turpin, Superintendent. “With Julie’s many gifts and talents she will become a very effective leader.”

She is a wife to Lance and a mom to daughters, Skylar and Sienna. She loves to read. Outside of school and family life, Julie can be found out on the trails. She is an accomplished marathoner and ultrarunner, running the Boston Marathon and finishing the Canadian Death Race twice.

Julie is looking forward to her continued journey with Rosary School, home of her “other” family.
