Congratulations Anna Taplin, the newest member to join the Learning Coach team at Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD).  Anna is an experienced educator with 21 years of experience in the classroom and in administration.  Anna specializes in mathematics and technology, and has a strong working knowledge of PowerSchool.

“Anna has been a valuable staff member at Good Shepherd School for many years and we are confident that her experience will be incredibly valuable to the Learning Coach team,” said Superintendent Betty Turpin.  “Her expertise will complement the skills of our current Learning Coaches nicely.  I look forward to watching them grow as a team.”

Currently, Anna is the Vice Principal at Good Shepherd School.  Effective January 5th, 2015, the Vice Principal and Assistant Principal roles at Good Shepherd School will amalgamate into one Vice Principal role and a teaching position. Terry Hogan, current Assistant Principal, will become the Vice Principal at Good Shepherd School.  Congratulations to Terry and we look forward to watching him thrive in his new role.

Anna has enjoyed working for 21 successful years as an administrator and teacher; teaching various grade levels, from kindergarten to grade 12.  Anna has expertise in assessment, numeracy, technology and PowerSchool and has a strong passion for life-long learning.  She is always doing action research to improve her teaching practices and student learning, and she recently received her Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction – Numeracy, through Simon Fraser University.
