Congratulations Alysia Sharpe – Principal, École Providence School

(May 12, 2023) The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is pleased to announce that Alysia Sharpe will be the Principal of École Providence School in McLennan starting in the 2023-24 school year.
“Alysia is already an integral part of École Providence School as a teacher, as well as Inclusive Education Coordinator.” says Superintendent Betty Turpin. “Given her educational background, and her volunteering in the community, Alysia is an ideal fit, and I look forward to supporting her in her new role.”
Alysia has 15 years of experience in education. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from York University, and received her teaching degree from the University of Alberta in 2007. This winter, she will be begin pursuing her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Alberta. She brings a wealth of experience from multiple schools and divisions.
“I’m excited to become Principal at Providence School,” says Alysia, “I live in McLennan and I am an active community volunteer for the Recreation Board and McLennan Legion. I have always stressed the importance of building a strong relationship between the community and the school and I look forward to continuing to ensure that Providence is a welcoming and caring school for all students.”
Current Principal, Krista Vietch will be the Principal at St. Andrew’s School starting this fall.
