Dear Parents and Guardians,

Spring has arrived and the end of the school year is near. Although we have bright days ahead, today I would like to remind everyone that COVID-19 protocols and guidelines are still in place and it is very important that we remain vigilant in slowing the spread of COVID-19.

Our division remains committed to following the important practices outlined by our Chief Medical Officer in the COVID-19 Guidance and Health Measures for K-12 Schools https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-guidance-and-health-measures-for-k-12-schools.aspx

We ask all parents, guardians, students and staff to continue to closely follow these guidelines so that we can continue to keep everyone healthy and safe.

Please:

  • Review the checklist daily for yourself and your child(ren)
  • If you are sick, please stay home
  • Remain two meters apart as much as possible
  • Wash or sanitize your hands
  • Wear a mask

As you may know there has recently been an exponential increase of COVID-19 cases in schools across Alberta.  Please do your part to encourage and support your child(ren) to follow the guidelines at their respective school so that we can do our best to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please notify your school so we can respond as soon as possible. With increased vigilance together we can have a strong finish to the 2021/22 school year.

God bless,

Betty Turpin
Superintendent
