Whalen and Hill Re-Elected as Board Chair and Vice Chair

The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is pleased to announce that Trustees Kelly Whalen and Brian Hill were re-elected as Board Chair and Vice Chair respectively at the Monday August 24th Regular Board Meeting. Both nominations were uncontested.
Whalen was first elected as Board Chair in 2016 and continues his tenure for the 2020/21 school year. First elected as a Ward 4 Sub 3 Peace River/Nampa Trustee in the January 2011 by-election, Whalen is starting his tenth year on the HFCRD Board of Trustees representing Good Shepherd and Glenmary Schools at the board table. Whalen also served previously as a Trustee with St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Schools for four years.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve the HFCRD community for another year as Board Chair. The role of Board Chair has been very rewarding and I look forward to another fantastic year of important work with our Board and division administration,” said Board Chair Kelly Whalen. “Consistency is especially important this year as we work to re-open HFCRD schools safely. I would like to thank all HFCRD staff for their hard work and dedication to the safety of all families.”
Hill is entering his second year as Vice Chair. He was first elected as the Trustee representing Ward 4 Sub 2 Grimshaw in 2018. Vice Chair Hill is starting his third school year representing the Holy Family School community. Vice Chair Hill is passionate about Catholic education and looks forward to continuing his work on the Board of Trustees.

I am humbled to represent the entire school division, and especially my school community I care so much about,” said Vice Chair Hill. “Serving as Vice Chair has given me great insight into the needs of all HFCRD school communities, and I look forward to continuing our important work as we serve our communities and keep the safety of students and staff at the forefront of all decisions.”
