Ward 1 High Prairie Unofficial By-Election Results

Nominations for the Ward 1 High Prairie By-Election closed at 12:00pm noon today. No candidates have come forward to submit their nomination which has left the seat vacant. As per section 31 the Local Authorities Election Act, the Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) will continue to be open to receiving nominations from 10:00am to 12:00pm for five additional business days or until a candidate comes forward. 

Interested candidates can download the nomination form here, and drop off their filled nomination form at the HFCRD Central Office at 10307 – 99 St in Peace River or at St. Andrew’s School at 4617 53 Ave, High Prairie, AB between 10:00am and 12:00pm tomorrow  Friday November 13th, 2020. If no candidate comes forward, then nominations will open once again on Monday November 16 and continue on until the end of the five business days or until a candidate comes forward. After a candidate submits their nomination forms, nominations will close. 

Catholic School Trustees play a very important role in publicly-funded Catholic schools. The next Catholic School Trustee representing Ward 1 High Prairie will represent St. Andrew’s School which is HFCRD’s largest school with over 500 students. HFCRD encourages its supporters to put their name forward for this rewarding opportunity.
