Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) warmly welcomes new appointed Trustee Donna Duda, who was sworn in at the Regular Board Meeting on Tuesday November 12th. Trustee Duda was appointed by the Western Cree Tribal Council, and will represent students at St. Stephen’s School from Sturgeon Lake First Nations and students at Holy Family School from Duncan First Nations at the board table. With the addition of Trustee Duda, the HFCRD Board of Trustees is now comprised of eight Trustees which includes seven elected Trustees and one appointed Trustee.

“I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to serve as a Catholic School Trustee. I look forward to learning more about the fantastic education system at HFCRD, and working with my colleagues on the Board of Trustees,” said Trustee Duda. “Thank you to the Western Cree Tribal Council for appointing me to this important role.”

Trustee Duda has lived in Valleyview for over 20 years and currently works with Alberta Health Services. She lives on a farm southeast of Valleyview with her husband Joe and their four children. Together they raise cow/calf pairs and grow their own feed.

Trustee Duda is replacing former Trustee Ryk David Badger who was appointed by the Western Cree Tribal Council. The HFCRD Board of Trustees thanks Ryk for his nine years of service and advocacy for students.
